We often indulged in random daily chit chat till she started work and then also gave birth to another baby girl. Albeit, not as cute as the elder one; of course my opinion is biased! So, without naming names, Shyra as I'm gonna call her for this blog (she will know how the name Shyra came to be) had recently been busy with mothering and all things related to it, working and juggling a home and also adhering and catering to the needs of her eldest child read her husband. So after a hiatus of a few months we got about chitting and chatting.
What I'm trying to say here is that due to the convenience of the internet, we never lose friendships but instead they become stronger. These friendships also allow us at time to confide in our friend, vent, rant or rave in the comfort that by the time we do come face to face the embarrassment of an event or encounter or tale shall either long be forgotten or taken as a dear Abby moment; not to be spoken of again.
Shayra and I have had loads of meaningful conversations, funny tales, complaining of all things husbandly, Shayra's ability to nag her children to death while trying to push them to be their very best (read as pushing them to walk while in the crib :p). Though both of us have not spent a lot of time together face to face she is truly a person I can call a friend; a person who I wish I could meet again soon. A person who easily brings a smile to your face. She is in all senses a good friend! And i promised her I would write about her and I did. Despite the time, the distance, the busy schedules; we pick off each time where we left off; me complaining of her ignoring me :)
